Information

I am looking forward to working with your child during this important year of learning and growth.

We will be getting to know each other and establish classroom rules and routines over the first month of school.  Please get in the habit of checking Google Classroom and emails.

This year will be full of learning and growth.  We will learn all about multiplication and division in math.  In social studies we learn about community.  In reading and writing we study narrative, opinion and informational texts.  Science is all about weather, forces, and adaptations.

It is sure to be an exciting year.  I am excited to work with you and your child.  As the year continues I will add more.  If you have questions, please email me at the address on the tab.

Third Grade Suggestions

  • Home Reading about 20 minutes a night. IF you need books, RAZ, EPIC, and Benchmark are great sources.  The public library is open, too.
  • ST MATH – we aim to complete about 1 – 2 hours a week, or 3% a week.  We also use Pearson and extra learning games in Prodigy.

Once the year gets started, you may want to investigate KHAN as  a resource.  I am excited to work with your child.

Sincerely,

Ms. Rhodes
